Dr.Fu Hong graduated from Qinghai Medical Collage in 1982 ,where he obtained his degree of Bachelor of Medicine. In 1992,He finished his degree of Doctor of Medicine in Shanghai Medical University and was appointed later as an attending Surgeon. From 1993 to 1995, Dr.Fu Hong jointed the Dept of Surgical Oncology in Yale Comprehensive Cancer Center,Yale University,School of Medicine, where he fulfilled his postdoctoral training and basic research program, particularly on colorectal cancer.

He has been working in the field of Surgical Oncology for more than 27 years and his main interests include GI cancer,soft tissue tumors,gists, malignant melanoma,pancreatic cancer,and liver cancer.

He has also published more than 50 papers and several chapters on 5 textbooks. Dr.Fu Hong was committee members on many Journals of Surgery and Oncology in China. He is also one of the members on IASP,AACR,and CSCO.
