Education & Professional Experience

Graduated from Shanghai First Medical College and entered the Cancer Hospital as a surgeon in 1957.He completed his post-graduate course in surgical oncology at the same college in 1961-1964.In 1992-1993,he was a research fellow at Yale University School of Medicine.Currently,he is tenure professor of the department of surgery at the Cancer Hospital of Fudan University.

Professor Shen has been the editor-in-chief of five books ,Breast Cancer,Surgical Oncology and Recent Progress in Breast Cancer,and from 2000,he has been editor-in-chief of the journal Chinese Oncology .He also sits on the editorial boards of a number of other oncology journals.Professor Shen has published more than 150 articles.
